Johnny Noviello

July 1, 1975 / June 23, 2025

Johnny Noviello was a 49 year old Canadian citizen who had legally come to the US in 1988 and was granted lawful permanent residency in 1991. He had come to the US to be closer to family.

On May 25th Johnny was arrested by Ice at the probation office and charged with “violation of (or conspiracy to attempt to violate) any law or regulation of a State, the United States, or a foreign country, relating to a controlled substance”as a violation of his parole for for a 2023 drug trafficking and racketeering conviction for which Johnny had already served 125 days, having been released for good behavior. Johnny’s Lawyer maintains his innocence regarding the parole violation.

During his initial intake exam at Krome Service Processing Center Johnny informed the staff of his seizure disorder and was diagnosed with hypertension.

On June 8th medical professionals requested a mental health evaluation after he reported feeling “sad and depressed”, the next day, he was evaluated by a medical professional who noted that he was having difficulty maintaining proper hygiene and hadn’t eaten “a while”.

On June 23, Johhny was found unresponsive with low blood sugar and a dangerously low temperature. He was administered CPR and AED by Krome Service Processing Center staff. Minutes later, the City of Miami Fire Rescue Department arrived and took over his care. Advanced cardiac life support was administered, but Johhny did not respond to those measures and within minutes Miami Fire Rescue pronounced Johnny deceased.

Very little information regarding the causes of Johhny’s death is publicly available and and his death remains under investigation
